This course has highly enriched me with an in-depth analysis and comprehension of cultural sensitivity. After studying the reading material, I came to realize that we should respect the cultural values of diverse people. As the USA is a country with a majority of diverse people. It is highly recommended that everyone particularly the healthcare giver should try to understand that if something is contrary to the patient’s culture then we must take permission or convince him so that he may not feel any discomfort. I have learned that nurse or healthcare giver should firstly get consent from the patient itself that what kind of information should be given to him and if he refuses to know then what family members can get that piece of information.
